there was this magpie who this lady in Queensland found who had fallen out of her nest as a baby and the lady raised it and got her healthy but Molly the magpie had gotten too use to being with people and so couldn't be released back into the wild

she wouldn't have survived as she didn't know how to fend for herself being how she was raised with people. Anyhoo Molly the magpie befriended the lady's Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Peggy and Molly and Peggy became best mates

The pair became famous world wide via TicToc videos I believe. It was cute watching Molly jumping around and playing with Peggy, and you could tell they really got on well. Molly would even copy Peggy's bark. it was funny seeing and hearing a magpie barking like a dog 🤣

until the mean ol neighbour complained 😡grrrr😡you see in Australia not everyone is allowed to keep native fauna (animals) as pets, you need a special permit...so the Department of National Parks and Wildlife came around and took Molly away, separating the two pals

well as you could imagine this upset a lot of people, not only here in my home state of Queensland but all around the world. soon people were setting up petitions etc all in an effort to reunite Molly and Peggy again.
